Sponsoring Bishop’s Cleeve Football Club’s shirts allows us to bring together two of our great passions, green energy and football. We’re hoping our support will help our local football club, affectionately known as The Mitres, do well this season.
Here’s the full write-up from South West Business.
‘An energy firm has put its shirt on a football team in a sponsorship deal.
Forever Green Energy is backing Bishop’s Cleeve FC.
The growing Cheltenham-based company has sponsored the team’s shirts and provided tracksuits for the first team to enable them to travel to and from games in club colours.
Steve Cleal, Bishop’s Cleeve’s first team manager, approached Forever Green Energy about sponsorship
He said: “We’re a local club and we like to get the support of local companies.
“Not only does it boost our profile, it helps to boost our sponsors’ profile.
“Forever Green Energy’s sponsorship will be invaluable. At our level it’s all about getting the right kit and equipment.
“Forever Green’s sponsorship means the lads will have a really professional appearance on the pitch, which will add to their confidence.
“The tracksuits are also great to have. Some of our fixtures are three hours away – being able to travel in comfort can make all the difference to our performance.”
Ben Williams of Forever Green Energy said: “We’re honoured to be supporting our local team. It’s great to share the company’s success with a sport we feel so passionately about.
“Hopefully the team will feel the benefit of our sponsorship and will be triumphant this season.”
Mr Cleal said: “We’d like to get a good cup run and we’re working hard to improve on last season’s position in the league.”
“Fingers crossed that success breeds success.”
Bishop’s Cleeve FC, known as The Mitres, have their home at Kayte Lane.
They play in the Southern League, Division One South and West.
The team’s new season kicks off on Saturday at home to Marlow, when they will showcase their new kit.
Forever Green Energy has recently relocated to larger premises to house its growing business.’
We wish The Mitres every success this season and hope they continue to be triumphant on the pitch.
