The first thing secondary-school teacher Andrew Turner did when he bought his first home was to investigate the benefits of a solar PV system.

“I had been thinking about solar panels for some time as an investment, but we were living in rented accommodation.

So as soon as we completed on our first home, we approached some solar companies to find out more.”

So how did Andrew find the experience of the installation itself?

"Absolutely superb. The team that came to install the panels were excellent. No mess, no fuss, they were all extremely polite guys. The team at the office offered great after-care as well when we had a couple of questions, the whole process was pretty seamless."

Andrew is pleased that the panels are already generating savings, despite the fact that he had the panels installed in September and the weather in the UK hasn’t been at it’s brightest and best during that time.

"I’m really happy with the figures so far, and I know the system will continue to generate even more savings as we hit summer – I’ll even admit I’ve got a spreadsheet to calculate my savings and am really enjoying watching those savings totals going up and up!"
