From Home Electric Charger Installation to Charging your Electric Car
In under 3 hours your charging point will be ready and you can begin electric charging at home.
Quick Install: Get an electric car charging station for your home installed by Forever Green Energy. The Zappi is OLEV approved, meaning you’ll get a £350 grant toward the install.
Easy Setup and Charging: Your Zappi EV Charger will fit discreetly outside or in your garage and it plugs directly into type 1 or type 2 connectors – so it will charge all types of electric car. Not only does it access grid power, Zappi utilises green energy generated from your solar panels.
Time To Plug In: Once installed, you’ll be able to plugin your electric or hybrid car. There are optional charging modes; A full maximum power charge will take 3-4 hours. However, you can run a rapid, high speed charge for 40-60 mins. Your EV home charger keeps charging while you’re using home appliances.
Your Zappi EV charger will charge your car until it’s full. It’ll do this in the most eco-friendly way by continually adjusting the power consumption in response to other items in your home that are using electricity.
Charging Modes
Explained
The Zappi charger diverts excess solar energy generated from your solar panels directly into the battery of your car, allowing you to fill your car with the power of the sun.
The Zappi has 3 selectable power settings – Eco mode (solar charging), Eco+ mode (standard 3.6kW slow charge) and Fast mode (7kw fast charge), and you simply choose how to charge when you plug in to the power output.
Eco (Solar Charging)
Charge power is adjusted in response to changes in how you use electricity in the home, so that you get power where you need it and the charger doesn't affect your day-to-day-life. Charging continues until the vehicle is fully charged.
Eco+
This mode is similar to Eco, but charging will pause if there’s too much imported power from the grid. Charging continues when there’s surplus energy available e.g. from your solar battery.
Fast
The quickest way to charge your car. Using solar power and energy from the grid to charge your call at max power as fast as possible.
OLEV Approved
